A TYPICAL SESSION

My sessions are a mix of talk therapy and experiential exercises. In the first few sessions, we will explore messages and expectations you may have internalized regarding sexuality, intimacy, connection from your upbringing and the world around you.  Through the course of our sessions together we will see which of those messages and perceived expectations still impact you, limiting how you want to show up in the world and how you relate to others. 

 

After getting to know each other, a typical 60-75 minute session may include:

  • Asking questions about human sexuality that you never had a chance to ask anyone in a judgement-free space

  • Mindfulness exercises, inviting you to bring attention to your body, expanding your connection to your body's senses, emotions, impulses, contractions, etc.  

  • Embodiment practices that help you deepen your connection to your body, that cultivate and expand your sense of pleasure and/or how to cultivate desire

  • Debunking old myths around what sex, intimacy, pleasure, orgasms, and relationships are “supposed” to be like

  • Practice noticing and expressing emotions, desires, and boundaries

  • Mutual touch exercises either with your partner or with me that emphasize consent, presence, and your unique understanding of pleasure

 Touch is only used only when we have given mutual permission.  You have the right to stop or change AT ANY TIME, for any reason, any touch or experience in which we are engaging. I will respond to your request respectfully and without question. 

 

Our work together will not include:

Nudity, kissing on the lips, or arousal with the intention of orgasm.  Within these bounds, there is plenty to explore and practice so that you can experience these things with a partner of your choosing.
